The Person ITruly Admire

A person I truly admire is the one and only Michael Jackson.Michael Jackson,also known as Michael Joseph Jackson born on August 29 1958 is an American singer,songwriter,record producer,dancer and actor.Called the King Of Pop,his contribution to music and dance,along with his publicized life ,made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades.He is truly amazing,an icon for me,my idol.I admire this person for so many reasons,not only for his big contribution in music and dance,but for the person he was.

One of the things I really admire about him is how he started small.He was a little boy in Gary,Indiana and he said in his interviews that passing kids and neighbors would throw rocks at their windows and tell them how they (The Jacksons) will never make it,but they kept on going,kept on striving through all these obstacles,and Michael grew up to be a legend.

Not only that,but he has donated millions of dollars to countless charities around the world,and even broke a record for that.In my estimation he did everything he could to "heal the world".He gave hope and insipiration to many people,including myself.He gave his heart,his dedication and thats why I will always look up to Michael

Another thing I really look up to Michael is the generous amount of kindness he has. On September 1987,Michael donated 20 000 dolars to the family of a young Japenese boy,Yoshiyaki,who had been kidnapped and killed.News footage at that time showed a highly emotional Michael addressing the incident.He said "I am very sorry and deeply saddened to hear about Yoyshiyaki.If I could,I would like to rush to his parents to express my words of sympathy and pay tribute to Yoyshiyaki.I would like to dedicate my Japanese tour to Yoyshiyaki...Yoyshiyaki,I know you are out there watching us.I hope such a brutal and heartbreaking thing never happens again.And I love you."Michael then proceeded to sing his hit song,"I Just Cant Stop Loving You".And that is why I will always look up to and respect Michael.

THE PERSON THAT INSPIRES ME THE MOST

NICK VUJICIC- ALYSSA SHAY NICHOLAS

You have never heard of Nick Vujicic. 
He is not a superstar athlete or international movie star. 
But he is a man whose attitude allowed him to succeed under the most difficult of circumstances. He has adopted the attitude of doing whatever he can to give disabled people hope for living as normal a life as they can for one reason. He was born in Australia in 1982 without any arms and legs, just a small foot with two toes protruding from his left thigh.  Nick just has a torso, a neck and a head.

Nick was bullied at school and became extremely depressed even contemplating suicide at only ten years old. But he was able to change his attitude toward life when he realized his accomplishments were inspirational to many other disabled people.  His mother also showed him a story on another severely disabled man and it made him realize he wasn’t the only one facing these kinds of challenges.  That attitude made him create his non-profit Life Without Limbs organization for the physically disabled.

Nick has the attitude that he could be successful at leading a normal life .He graduated from college at 21 with a double major in accounting and finance.  But despite his handicap, he decided to travel the world giving motivational speeches to teenagers and other disabled people.  He has spoken to over three million people in almost 60 countries on five continents , he speaks to corporate audiences, congregations and schools. He also adopted the attitude of not wanting to have people always having to help him.  So he has learned to do a lot of the daily things a normal person can do, like answer the phone, shave, brush his teeth, comb his hair and get a glass of water.  He likes to fish, swim and play soccer in his spare time.  And remember, he has no arms or legs! Nick is now married to gorgeous Kanae Miyahara and has a lovely 2 year old son, Kiyoshi James Vujicic. He has written many motivational books such as Life Without Limits and Limitless.

What truly inspires me about Nick Vujicic is that he doesn’t let his disabilities bring him down but he uses them to help make other people’s lives better. He inspires me to use what God has given me to be a better person and he has taught me that we all have our shortcomings, but it is our attitude that brings us to greater heights.  

Dream big my friend and never give up. We all make mistakes, but none of us are mistakes. Take one day at a time. Embrace the positive attitudes, perspectives, principles and truths I share, and you too will overcome. - Nick Vujicic
