One of the many people that inspires me is Pandelela Rinong anak Pamg. She is a Malaysian diver. Pandelela was born on 2nd March 1993 in Sarawak. Pandelela is bumiputera native to the Malaysian state of Sarawak. At the age of 7, she was selected as a state diver and continued her training at the Bukit Jalil Sports School in Kuala Lumpur.

At the 2009 World Aquatics Championships, she won a bronze medal in the Women's 10m Synchronized Platform with her partner, Leong Mun Lee and placed 5th in the Woman's 10m platform. She also competed in the Women's10m platform at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. She participated at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore where she won the silver medals in the girls' 10m platform event and 3m springboard event. At New Delphi 2010, she won Malaysia's first Commonwealth Games gold medal in an aquatic sport by winning the women's 10m platform.
She became Malaysia's first female flag bearer at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics where she competed in the individual 10 m platform and the 10m platform and the 10m platform synchronized event with her partner Leong Mun Yee. She became the first Malaysian female athlete to win an Olympics medal, and the first Malaysian athlete to win an Olympics medal in a sport besides badminton by winning a bronze medal in the Women's 10m platform at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She is one of the youngest Malaysian athlete that has achieved many goals.

Personally, I would always watch the platform diving competitions that she participated in. She has great talent and potential in her. She has brought on glory to our country. Thus, she inspires to me to work harder on what I do and never quiver, as long as I do my best , even if I fail I can always try again. Her story also shows that age does not matter as long as you have the faith in something and you put your heart into it. As they say, Reach for the moon and even if you fail, you'll fall among the stars. :)
